BAX Prestige Boots Help

You can also visit the Bax Coen Designs Mainstore and have your Boots fitted with remote control when one of our Customer Service Reps is present.

To get the menu for all the options, click on a boot. If you are in an area that has no scripts allowed while you put on the boots, the menu will not work until you first enter an area where scripts are allowed.

Top Options

The boots have 4 options for the top, accessible in [Boot Tops..].  [None] : Knee-length Boots, [Sleeve Up]: Overknee Boots, [SleeveDown]: Boot sleeve folded down, [Denim ..] : Rolled-Up Pants bottoms in 3 colors.

Color Change

In the menu [ Colors… ], click the button for the part of the boot you want to change. If you set a part to [Accent], it will have the Color set in the menu [Set Accent..], if it is set to [Metal[ it will have the current metal color set with [Metal Gold] or [Metal Silver]. The Heel Plate and Toe Part can be turned off using [Off].

The Accent Color, set in [Set Accent..] is applied immedieately to all parts which are set to Accent Color.
The [Custom] color can be set with [Set Custom..] after clicking that button, type in chat 3 numbers in the range 0..255 representing the Red, Green and Blue levels of the color. ¬†Those are the same numbers you see in the edit window Color Picker. ¬†See the chapter ‘Useful Tips’ on how to get the numbers for any colors you see in the Viewer Window, eg. clothes parts.

To reset all parts to the default colors, click [ Colors.. -> ResetColors ].

Custom Color

You can set a custom color for the color change parts except the main color. For this you need to first know the color RGB numbers you want to use. These are the Red/Green/Blue levels ranging from 0 to 255 as they are seen in the color chooser window of the SL viewer (see the ‘Useful Tips’ Section on how to get a handy color picker program that lets you pick the colors direct from the SL Viewer window). To set the color, click [ Colors… -> Set Custom ] and enter in chat the 3 numbers, seperated by spaces, for instance “0 255 255” for a cyan color.

Clicking a part’s custom color button, eg [ Colors… -> Tip… -> T Custom ] changes that part to the set color. If you set another custom color after that, the parts will not change until you click a part’s custom color button again. ¬†This allows you to even set individual parts to different custom colors. ¬†With [ Colors.. -> All Custom ], you set all changable parts at once, except for the ¬†Fur flaps or lace top which, has to set seperately with [ Top Opts.. ] -> [ Fur Custom ] or [ Top Opts.. ] -> [ Lace…] -> [ Lace Custom ].

Walk Sound

Set the walk sound volume level in the menu [Sound…] -> [ Volume 5 ] .. [ Volume 100 ]. To turn off the walk sound, click [ Sound Off ] . Please be respectful of others and turn the volume down or off where it may disturb others, for example at concerts.

If you use any of the built-in AO walks of the boots, the sound speed will automatically be matched to the walk pace. ¬†If you use another walk AO, you can set the walk sound to different speeds to match. The numbers on the buttons in [Sound…] -> [ SoundPace.. ] represent steps per minute.

Walk AO

The boots have a walk replacer AO built in.  Turn on the AO in the menu by choosing the walk [ AO/Walks.. ->  Sexy Walk/Female Walk ] or turn it off when you use another AO device for walks [AO/Walks.. -> AO Off ].

Remove Scripts

You can remove some or all Scripts in the Boots to reduce Server Lag or to when limits on Scripts in Attachments will be enforced. You won’t be able to use the removed Script’s features anymore but still can wear the boots in the way they were fitted or color-changed before removing the scripts. Before you remove any scripts, make a backup copy of the original Boot’s Folder with all scripts in a safe place to be able to revert to that.

In the menu [Scripts..], after clicking one of the various buttons and another menu to confirm the removal, you can remove all of the Scripts [All Scripts], just the Fitting Scripts, Color Change Scripts, Sound Scripts or Walk AO  Scripts.

You can now allow someone to access the Menu after he/she clicks on your right Boot’s Leg, especially when you want to have the Boots fitted by our Customer Service or someone else proficient with that. After Clicking [Remote..] , the remote user needs to click on your right boot leg. A Menu comes up to confirm that you allow him/her access. The remote user can use all of the Boot’s menu but is not able to remove scripts. If you want to stop remote access, simply click on your boots yourself again. ¬†. The remote user can stop access using the [Remote..] menu.

Useful Tips

– To find the color values for a custom color, you can enable the a feature in the Viewer to show the color values under the mouse pointer: If you haven’t enabled the Advanced Menu already, do so with Ctrl+Alt+D (on a PC) or Ctrl+‚Ć• Alt+D (on a Mac). Then select Advanced Menu -> UI – Show Color Under Cursor. The color values will be shown in the lower right corner of the window, use only the first 3 numbers. ¬†Pick a color on your outfit that’s not in a shadow and use the numbers to set the custom color of the boots.

РYou can copy the boots in your inventory and each copy will keep its colors and other settings when you wear them again.  So you can store a copy of matching boots in the folder for an outfit after you set up the colors.

For any issues, you can talk to the Customer Service at the Bax Boots Mainstore or IM Bax Coen for help or a replacement.
